School is in full swing, and this month's meeting is an opportunity to share with us what you need from us to be most successful with your students and school admin! We will have some new one-pagers to help guide conversations with students, educators, and administration. Come as you are able, and share in community with other caregivers facing the same issues as you!

School is in full swing, and this month's meeting is an opportunity to share with us what you need from us to be most successful in your classroom (whether it is in a school or not!). We will have some new one-pagers to help guide conversations with students, caregivers, and administration. Come as you are able, and share in community with other educators facing the same issues as you!

Our third stop in the People's Hearing Series is Stillwater, in Room 121 at the Stillwater Community Center Tuesday, August 20th from 6-8 PM. We have invited State Department of Education board members, each of whom is an appointee of Kevin Stitt and not accountable or in touch with our communities, to attend a community listening session so they can hear directly from you about your concerns. This session is open to all; students, teachers, parents, and concerned community members. We understand that the regular monthly State Board of Education meetings being held in OKC during a workday are not accessible to many and the fact that they can only allow for ten speakers, makes it even harder for our voices to be heard. Even more, Oklahomans outside of OKC have less access to the physical meeting and meeting livestream. The People's Hearing is an opportunity to share your concerns, joys, and hopes for public schools in Oklahoma in and where you live and grow. Come out and let the board members know how they can better serve you and our community!

Light dinner will be provided. We will do our best to accommodate dietary needs. Please contact RPC (rpc@freedomoklahoma.org) with any questions or concerns. Seating is limited, so register now!

A note that while this event originally was scheduled to take place in Room 116, we have been shifted to Room 121 because of air conditioning issues.

It's Back-To-School season! Come hang out with us virtually and check in about all that's happened while we were away in July and what's coming up this fall! We will share space in community to express our joys, concerns, and hopes for Oklahoma. We can also talk about skill-building for policy change, too. Feel free to join as and when you are able. Participants will have to register with the email address associated with their Zoom account to log into the meeting for the security of all participants.
